Ook dit werk is gemaakt in het kader van het zomer-symposium Alles van hout in van de Haagse Kunstkring, in 2019. Aanleiding was de droogte die zomer.
Met bakjes konden bezoekers water door de transparante slangen gieten. Maar dat liep er aan de onderkant ook weer uit; de afgezaagde stam komt er niet weer door tot leven. De actie was dus net zo doelloos als water naar de zee dragen. Het object was echter een populair speeltje bij bezoekers.

This work has also been made during the summer symposium Alles van hout (Everything made out of wood) at the Haagse Kunstkring (The Hague Art Circle), in 2019. It was inspired by the drought that summer.
Visitors of the exhibition could pour water into the transparent tubes with small tins. But at the bottom that water leaked out again; watering did not revive the cut-off trunk. So the action was as futile as carrying water to the sea. The object was a popular plaything for visitors though.
